Its called Genes and Metabolic rate . Not everyone who is heavy eats a lot. Just like not every skinny person eats less. I know a few skinny people that can put my brothers under the table.
I don’t know if there is a fitness craze but most people I know who work out don’t do it long enough for it to be effective and they eat fast food and drink alcohol.
because, obviously nobody really wants to work out, but in people’s minds, they like to talk about it– mainly because they think of what they could be like when they shed off the weight [basically they visualize themselves without their weight], but unfortunately with society’s high pace today, people never get around to it, or they become to lazy to actually carry out the action, and they crave the foods they are used to eating. it’s simple to figure out really.
Americans as a whole are pretty lazy. We’ve been ruined by the idea that we need to have it all. Gym memberships may be on the rise, but so are sedate forms of entertainment, quick fatty meals, and a remote control for almost everything.
Because they are not working out properly, nor eating properly.
Stay away from the FDA’s Food Guide Pyramid - it’s a recipe for fatness.

Allot of people don’t know how to diet, also you got allot of people who buy gym memberships but seldom ever use them, and then you have the factor that allot of people cant afford a gym membership and all the healthier choice foods are more expensive, in grocery stores and restaurants.
And fast food is a great contributor as well.
I know a woman who lost 120lbs. She looked great until she took her coat off and had on a short sleeve shirt. The amount of loose skin and flab was unbelievable. She looked better heavy.
My oldest daughter is on the heavy side and after she saw what Terra looked like, she’s afraid to loose weight.
I don’t know why there are people that are heavy. I don’t like the word obese, but you, I and the heath insurance companies have no right to judge.
By the way, my daughter weighs 186, and I weigh 128, so it isn’t always hereditary.
